Job description
Position Overview
A fast-growing Irish construction firm is seeking a Bid Coordinator to support projects across DC, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors in Ireland and Europe. Candidates must hold a valid EU passport as travel to European projects may occasionally be required. The role is based in Kildare.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all bid coordination activities within the company.
- Identify public tenders and new business opportunities relevant to the company.
- Oversee and support the entire tender process including tender identification, obtaining management approvals, completing SAQs and pre-qualification documentation, and preparing quality and commercial submissions.
- Coordinate the creation and timely submission of tender proposals to clients within specified deadlines.
- Monitor opportunities via tender portals such as eTenders.
- Develop and continuously improve tender proposals, brochures, qualification, and presentation materials.
- Manage the company’s social media presence and website content.
- Maintain and enhance the company’s tender tracking systems and associated metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years professional experience post-graduation.
- Proactive and motivated bid writer capable of leading and securing contracts.
- Strong communication, organisational and management abilities.
- Experience collaborating with technical experts and engineers in bid submissions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with excellent time management.
- Proven capability managing complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders within limited timeframes.
- Experience in Consulting Engineering firms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with public sector tender processes is a plus.
