Bartender

Job Overview

As a Bartender based in Doha, Qatar, you will be responsible for crafting beverage orders meticulously according to recipes, handling wine and champagne bottles, and keeping the bar and its equipment clean and organized. You will prepare fresh garnishes, stock necessary supplies, and maintain the cleanliness of glassware and work areas. The role includes processing payments, managing cash bank reconciliation and reports after shifts, securing alcoholic beverages and storage areas, and completing all closing duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders exactly following recipes using measuring tools.
• Serve wine and champagne bottles appropriately.
• Ensure the bar and its equipment are clean and well-maintained.
• Prepare garnishes fresh for each drink served.
• Keep stock of ice, glassware, and paper items needed at the bar.
• Transport necessary supplies efficiently to the bar setup location.
• Wash used glassware and clear soiled items from bar tops and tables.
• Anticipate restocking needs and communicate them promptly.
• Process payments in all accepted forms.
• Conclude shifts by counting cash bank, preparing reports, handling discrepancies, and safely storing cash and receipts.
• Secure liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage facilities.
• Perform closing responsibilities diligently.
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols including reporting hazards.
• Maintain professional and clean personal appearance in uniform.
• Confidentially handle proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Greet and interact with guests warmly and professionally, anticipating their service needs.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and guests.
• Support team efforts and respond effectively to colleagues' concerns.
• Meet established quality standards consistently.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, walking during entire shifts; able to move and lift items up to 50 pounds; maneuver in tight and varied environments including stairs and slippery surfaces.
• Follow any additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
