About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an opportunity to hone your skills within the retail sector. This position involves delivering outstanding customer service, upholding Walmart's core values, maintaining and organizing the bakery section, and supporting the stocking and sales of bakery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and appearance of bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery department well-stocked and ready for customers.
- Ensure all items are clearly signed and correctly priced.
- Follow protocols for cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
- Adhere to food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Execute ordering, clearance, price adjustments, and labeling according to company guidelines.
- Prepare bakery goods following specific thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and presentation.
- Secure all merchandise displays safely and correctly.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.45.
