Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery products such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is fully stocked and business-ready at all times.
• Properly sign, price, and label merchandise.
• Comply with all food safety protocols including cold chain adherence, thermometer calibration, accurate temperature logging, correct food handling, product rotation, and attention to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Follow thorough sanitation and cleaning methods within the bakery section.
• Execute correct procedures in ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signage, and pricing adjustments.
• Prepare bakery items following exact thawing and baking instructions to guarantee consistent product quality.
• Securely and safely arrange all in-store bakery displays.

Compensation

The minimum starting wage for this position is $15.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
