Bakery Associate

Position Summary

Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills within the retail sector. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery items, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery section well stocked and consistently prepared for daily operations.
• Ensure all merchandise is accurately priced and properly labeled.
• Comply with food safety standards, including cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, product rotation, and monitoring expiration dates.
• Follow strict sanitation and cleaning protocols for food handling.
• Manage ordering processes, clearance sales, pricing adjustments, and signage updates with attention to detail.
• Prepare bakery products by adhering closely to thawing and baking instructions to guarantee product quality.
• Secure all product displays safely and appropriately to maintain a safe shopping environment.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $19.05 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
