About the Role
A rapidly expanding fintech company is actively expanding its engineering department by recruiting a Backend Software Engineer dedicated to developing and maintaining the systems that power its flagship product.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and sustain backend services and APIs
- Produce clean, well-tested, and thoroughly documented code
- Enhance system performance, scalability, and dependability
- Work closely with frontend developers and product teams to deliver new features
- Engage in code reviews and participate in discussions about technical designs
- Provide ongoing support for production environments and diagnose issues
Required Qualifications
- Between 2 and 4 years of hands-on backend development experience
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL database systems
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and core system design principles
- Ability to thrive in an agile work setting
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to microservices architecture or cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
Compensation
The monthly salary ranges from 450,000 to 900,000 Nigerian Naira, depending on experience.
