Associate Sourcing Manager

Role Overview

The Associate Sourcing Manager will spearhead strategic sourcing initiatives for designated suppliers and commodities to secure optimal quality, service, and value. This role involves managing supplier relationships, guiding supplier selections aligned with global sourcing strategies, and overseeing material cost reporting and logistics. Serving as the primary interface between sourcing and R&D/design teams, the position ensures alignment with procurement procedures and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing activities including bids, negotiations, and supplier management aimed at project success and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate sourcing requirements for new product projects, ensuring adherence to global sourcing guidelines and purchasing controls for design projects.
• Leverage supplier and project experience to improve project scheduling and accelerate deliverables.
• Negotiate cost savings on supplier pricing and non-recurring engineering expenses alongside commodity teams during price increases.
• Drive efficiencies in supplier processes and communication to promote faster product launches.
• Identify and implement enhancements to both supplier and company processes to improve quality, speed to market, and delivery consistency.
• Support multiple projects across various business units as needed.
• Develop strong working relationships with R&D engineering, operations, and global sourcing teams to become a trusted resource.
• Perform sourcing analyses including cost and make-versus-buy assessments.
• Recognize supply chain risks and devise mitigation strategies for new products.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management is essential; Master’s degree or CPM certification is advantageous.
• Minimum of six years of professional experience with at least three years in strategic sourcing and supplier development highly desired.
• Proficient negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable contractual terms.
• Solid understanding of supplier contract strategies, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with ISO13485 standards preferred.
• Project management experience and knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing management, engineering, buying, production planning or new product development is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role in Ireland ranges from €59,000 to €100,000 annually, with potential eligibility for incentive programs such as bonuses or commissions.
