Job description
Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager at Spencer's supports the Store Manager with overall store operations to maximize sales and profitability. This role involves maintaining excellent guest services and managing various tasks related to staff development, expense and shrinkage control, merchandising, and inventory oversight, following all company policies.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $17.25, depending on qualifications and experience. Employees receive benefits including paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, bereavement pay, jury duty pay, contest prizes, medical, dental and vision plans, an employee assistance program, a 30% merchandise discount, and college scholarship awards. All bonuses and benefits are subject to eligibility and company policies.
Job Requirements and Physical Demands
Candidates must be at least 18 years old. The role requires standing and walking for over eight hours daily, climbing ladders, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Previous retail and/or management experience is necessary.
