Assistant Store Manager

Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. This role acts as the manager in charge during the absence of the Store Manager.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Participate in merchandising, restocking shelves, and processing shipments including packing and unpacking.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Manage cash handling procedures and open or close the store as needed.
• Delegate tasks to team members and maintain store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Uphold visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and employee performance appraisal.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
