Role Overview
This position focuses on the full verification lifecycle of digital power ASIC IP, spanning from system-level concept through tape out and post-silicon support. The engineer will be responsible for pre-silicon test planning, constructing testbenches using advanced verification methodologies such as SystemVerilog-UVM, developing coverage models, assertion model creation, and formal property verification. The role includes learning and applying power-aware UPF verification flows and creating automation to streamline verification efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan comprehensive pre-silicon testing for digital power intellectual property
- Develop and maintain testbenches utilizing SystemVerilog-UVM methodology
- Create and manage coverage models and assertion-based verification
- Engage in formal verification techniques including property checking
- Implement power-aware UPF verification flows and methodologies
- Develop automation solutions to optimize verification work
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field with at least two years’ experience in ASIC design and verification. Preferred qualifications are a master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or synonymous disciplines, combined with over six years of hands-on expertise in ASIC design and verification methodologies. Proficiency in digital design concepts and RTL coding using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL is expected. Strong background in computer architecture, object-oriented programming, and languages such as C or C++ is advantageous. Experience with block-level testbench development, verification methodologies like UVM or OVM, and scripting skills in Perl or Python are highly valued. Familiarity with AMBA bus protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and assertion-based formal verification is desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is CAD 104,900 to 154,900, complemented by discretionary annual bonuses and potential RSU grants. The benefits package is designed to support employee well-being both professionally and personally.
