About the Company and Role
Qualcomm Canada ULC is a forefront technology company driving innovation in communication and data processing to shape a smarter, connected world. This position is part of the ASICS Engineering team responsible for the full verification lifecycle of digital power IPs, ranging from initial system concepts through tape out and post-silicon phases.
Role Responsibilities
The role involves planning comprehensive pre-silicon testing strategies, developing advanced verification testbenches with methodologies like SystemVerilog-UVM, creating and managing coverage models, assertion-based model developments, and performing formal verification through property checking. Additionally, the engineer will learn and apply power-aware verification flows using UPF and develop automation tools to enhance verification efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in ASIC design and verification methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Over 6 years’ experience with ASIC design and verification tools and techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of digital design and RTL languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Strong fundamentals in computer architecture, object-oriented programming, and proficiency in C or C++.
- Expertise in building block-level testbench environments using SystemVerilog.
- Experience with verification methodologies including UVM or OVM and familiarity with Assertion Based Formal Verification.
- Proficient scripting and automation skills using Perl or Python.
- Experience with AMBA Bus protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge or experience with Assertion Based Formal Verification is advantageous but not required.
Minimum Qualification Options
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration experience.
- Master's degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
- Doctorate degree in relevant fields.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $104,900 and $154,900 annually. Salary is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes discretionary bonuses and opportunities for restricted stock units. Qualcomm also offers a robust benefits package aimed at supporting employee wellbeing both professionally and personally.
