Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Arborist to join a reputable landscaping and arboriculture services firm. This permanent, full-time position is based centrally in Singapore and involves standard working hours of 5.5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM). The compensation package includes a basic salary, annual wage supplements, and performance bonuses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed tree assessments and inspection reports.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tree health and recommend appropriate treatments or corrective actions.
- Perform advanced tree inspections with diagnostic tools such as resistographs and PICUS sonic tomography devices.
- Analyze inspection data and develop clear, technical reports with sound recommendations.
- Design and oversee tree pruning, maintenance, and risk management plans in collaboration with contractors and supervisors.
- Supervise crews and contractors to ensure safe and proper execution of tree management tasks.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, relevant authorities, and external partners on arboriculture matters.
- Attend to urgent or emergency tree-related incidents outside regular working hours as needed.
- Ensure all arboriculture activities comply with NParks guidelines, safety regulations, and industry best standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Landscape Management, or related disciplines.
- Possession of a valid ISA Certified Arborist® certification is mandatory.
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) is considered advantageous.
- Proven experience with tree inspections, risk assessments, and arboriculture maintenance.
- Skilled in using diagnostic equipment such as resistographs and PICUS, and adept at preparing tree assessment reports.
- Willingness and ability to respond to emergency tree situations beyond normal working hours.
Additional Information
- Working hours span Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday until 1:00 PM (5.5 working days per week).
- Salary includes base pay, annual wage supplements, and performance bonuses.
