Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with over 8 years of proficiency in Android, Kotlin, and Java. This role involves engaging throughout the software lifecycle, including architecture design, component integration, implementing CI/CD workflows, and bolstering application security for Android payment terminals. Close collaboration with internal teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Android SDKs, incorporating Linux and firmware integration.
- Utilize modern Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and dependency injection with Hilt.
- Leverage strong computer science foundations including algorithms, data structures, multi-threading, object-oriented programming, UI principles, and advanced debugging techniques.
- Implement programming paradigms like Finite State Machines, interprocess communication, and timer mechanisms.
- Work with Android build tools including Gradle and emulators, optimizing testing environments.
- Employ CI/CD practices using tools like GitLab CI and conduct automated testing using JUnit, Espresso, UI Automator, and Robolectric.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile scrum teams, demonstrating problem-solving skills and meeting delivery timelines.
- Design, develop, and document high-quality software components adhering to organizational and industry standards.
- Conduct technical research to propose well-reasoned solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in Android development.
- Desirable familiarity with payment industry standards such as PCI and payment card specifications.
- Experience with payment systems, point-of-sale, or hardware-integrated solutions is advantageous.
