About the Role
The Ministry of Justice's Provider and Community Services team is seeking a full-time, permanent Advisor to manage relationships with community service providers who deliver justice services across New Zealand. This role involves overseeing contract performance, monitoring practice standards, managing and reconciling monthly invoices, and supporting procurement processes. The successful candidate will contribute to various team projects and priorities through planning, coordination, documentation, and effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of third-party contracted providers by maintaining regular communication, including scheduled site visits.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure service standards meet New Zealanders' needs.
- Oversee monthly invoice management and reconciliation with providers.
- Support procurement activities as necessary.
- Assist with team projects by engaging in planning, coordination, and documentation efforts.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working at an advisor level or comparable role.
- Relevant qualifications and knowledge applicable to the role.
- Understanding of public sector procedures, particularly relating to social sector funding.
- Proven relationship management skills with community stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and willingness to learn from colleagues.
- A valid full, clean drivers licence is mandatory due to travel requirements for contract management.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is NZD 74,634 to NZD 95,591 annually, commensurate with skills and experience.
