Software Testing Internship (Remote, Part-Time)

Internship Overview

This internship involves evaluating the accounting modules of HelloBooks.ai, a custom AI-driven accounting software. The intern will focus on testing features including invoicing, purchases, ledger entries, journal entries, and financial reports from a practical accounting perspective.

Responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy of calculations, tax applications, and GST results against expected accounting standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test cases and checklists for different accounting sections prior to each release.
• Document defects thoroughly, detailing reproduction steps, discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes, and provide visual evidence when applicable.
• Conduct re-verification of resolved issues and perform regression testing to ensure overall system integrity.
• Provide constructive feedback to the product team regarding usability issues and possible workflow enhancements based on daily accounting operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be available to work remotely, starting between August 18 and September 22, 2026, for a six-month period.
• Should possess or be pursuing relevant qualifications such as B.Com, M.Com, CA, CS, or CMA (intermediate/final stage preferred).
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles including journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, and GST.
• Practical familiarity with accounting tools such as Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify minor numerical discrepancies in reports.
• Capable of dedicating approximately 30 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
• Enrollment in or completion of Computer Science Engineering is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly stipend ranging from INR 2,000 to INR 2,500.
