Overview

We are seeking a Software Integration Engineer bringing 5 to 8 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about addressing complex challenges, developing streamlined automation solutions with thorough documentation, and exploring innovative methods, including low-code platforms and AI-driven approaches to fulfill business requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and sustain integration solutions and automations using the Workato platform.
  • Create comprehensive recipes, connectors, and workflows interfacing various systems including SaaS applications, internal tools, and databases tailored to business needs.
  • Enhance existing automation workflows to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Provide production support through active monitoring and troubleshooting of automation workflows to promptly resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms to prevent disruptions and enable quick incident responses.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into effective technical integration solutions.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, or AI-powered improvements.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to best practices concerning error handling, security, and maintainability.
  • Promote continuous learning by sharing integration best practices and mentoring team members.
  • Stay current with advancements in integration technology, including low-code platforms and AI tools, experimenting with emerging solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in software development, automation engineering, or integration development.
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, JSON, and common integration design patterns.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience with integration platforms or iPaaS tools like Workato, Zapier, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Make.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database operations.
  • Experience developing custom connectors in Workato.
  • Relevant Workato platform certification.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture principles.
  • Exposure to continuous integration and deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, or DevOps workflows.
  • Background in data mapping methodologies.
