Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our design team supporting a prominent pharmaceutical client based in Limerick, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, or retire engineering drawing files to support capital projects, planned modifications, and periodic field verifications.
  • Assist with drawing-related activities for capital projects and planned changes involving process equipment, utility systems, and site infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain various drawing types including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), architectural site infrastructure, and layout drawings.
  • Provide assistance to internal departments responding to drawing inquiries and requests.
  • Support Subject Matter Experts during regulatory inspections by providing necessary drawing information.
  • Participate in the Engineering Drawing File Periodic Field Verification Program to ensure accuracy.
  • Help standardize drawing practices among all IOPS sites.
  • Contribute to the formulation of departmental policies, procedures, and specifications related to drawing management.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean working environment by adhering to and enforcing relevant policies and regulations.
  • Ensure company reputation is maintained by complying with local and governmental regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar Autodesk CAD software is essential.
  • Possession of a BS/BA degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent education-experience combination.
  • Experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Vault software is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and schedules effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
