Solderer - PCB and Cable Assembly

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Solderer to join a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Blandford Forum, Dorset. This permanent, full-time position involves working in a vibrant production environment to produce high-quality electronic assemblies, catering to customer specifications. The role welcomes applicants with varying levels of soldering experience, be it in printed circuit boards (PCBs) or cable assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soldering tasks on PCBs and cable assemblies.
• Interpret and work from engineering diagrams, wiring schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Execute through-hole soldering and cable termination operations.
• Self-inspect completed work to uphold stringent quality standards.
• Assemble electronic components and integrate sub-assemblies.
• Identify and communicate any quality-related concerns promptly.
• Collaborate efficiently with team members to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Experience with PCB or cable soldering at any skill level.
• Strong manual dexterity and sharp attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently.
• Dependability coupled with a positive work attitude.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• IPC certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

The role requires 36.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday with hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday. The position is onsite, located in Blandford Forum, Dorset, with convenient commuting options from surrounding areas including Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne, Ferndown, Dorchester, Salisbury, and Yeovil.
