Company Overview
Qualcomm India Private Limited, part of the Engineering Group focusing on Systems Engineering, seeks a dedicated engineer to enhance the performance of its Adreno GPU compiler and overall system for global customers.
Role Summary
The engineer will conduct research, perform analysis, and execute improvements related to Qualcomm's Adreno GPU compiler and system performance. Responsibilities include analyzing GPU shaders and identifying bottlenecks, developing and utilizing profiling tools, examining compiler architectures, and collaborating with compiler/driver teams, hardware architecture groups, and game developers to improve game and application performance as well as inform hardware design.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in LLVM compiler development and optimization.
- Strong understanding of GPU and computer architecture including CPU, memory systems, data layout, and performance trade-offs.
- Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++ and Python.
- Effective communication skills with a collaborative and self-motivated approach.
- Relevant work experience based on degree level (e.g., 4+ years with a Bachelor's, 3+ years with a Master's, or 2+ years with a PhD in Systems Engineering or related areas).
- Experience in graphics shader programming using APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX, OpenCL, or CUDA kernel development.
- Familiarity with profiling and debugging tools as well as hardware performance counters for parallel computing applications.
- Experience in benchmarking and performance optimization for parallel applications, including gaming, HPC, AR/VR, or AI.
