Qualcomm India Private Limited, part of the Engineering Group specialized in Hardware Engineering, is seeking an experienced Senior Lead CPU STA Engineer to join their team in the Greater Hyderabad Area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields with over 3 years of relevant hardware engineering experience, or
• Master's degree in similar fields with at least 2 years of related experience, or
• PhD in these fields accompanied by a minimum of 1 year of hardware engineering practice.

Also considered are candidates with a Master's degree and 6+ years of hardware engineering work.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Expertise in Place & Route processes using tools such as FC or Innovus.
• Full ASIC flow management with a focus on optimizing low power, performance, and area factors.
• Static Timing Analysis (STA) proficiency using Primetime and/or Tempus.
• Ability to generate and validate design constraints effectively.
• Implementing complex power domains through UPF/CPF definitions.
• Experience with formal verification tools like Formality or Conformal.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages including Perl, Tcl, Python, and C++.
• Strong skills in ASIC development, debugging, and problem solving.
• Deep understanding of CPU micro-architecture and associated critical paths.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in low power methods and high-speed CPU design implementation.
• Expertise in clock tree implementation techniques specific to high-speed designs.
• Familiarity with constraint management tools and Verilog coding.
