Java Developer

Overview

We are looking for a passionate Java Developer to join a forward-thinking, award-winning gaming company based in Southwark, London. This role involves enhancing and maintaining the current codebase and making design recommendations. A strong affinity for mathematics, particularly in statistics and probability, is highly beneficial as these areas play a critical role in the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the current GMR Game Engine Framework.
• Enhance and customize the Game Engine Framework to support unique game designs.
• Implement improvements to the core Game Engine Framework.
• Create tools and systems to improve game simulations and RTP (Return to Player) calculations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in developing stable and scalable Java applications and services.
• Solid understanding of mathematics related to statistics, standard deviation, and probability at A-level or higher.
• Hands-on experience in Java development.
• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coding algorithms.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework including Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management methodologies.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and Nexus.
• Understanding of continuous integration processes.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization.
• Experience working with MySQL databases.

Additional Information

This is a permanent full-time position located onsite in Southwark, London. Salary range is between 60,000 to 70,000 GBP per year.
