Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Layout Designer with over 4 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality circuit layouts and managing the layout process for complex analog and mixed-signal blocks.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply design constraints to execute superior layouts.
- Utilize Cadence VXL tools for designing periphery circuit blocks.
- Effectively diagnose and resolve issues related to Layout Versus Schematic (LVS), Design Rule Checks (DRC), and general layout concerns.
- Create layouts for critical components including Temperature Sensors, Phase-Locked Loops (PLL), ADC, DAC, LDO, Bandgap references, Charge Pumps, Current Mirrors, Comparators, and Differential Amplifiers.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of Analog Layout fundamentals such as device matching, electro-migration, latch-up prevention, coupling, crosstalk, IR-drop, and parasitic effects on both active and passive devices.
- Analyze how layout impacts circuit characteristics including speed, capacitance, power consumption, and footprint.
- Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end layout workflow encompassing floor-planning, placement, and routing activities.
- Ensure compliance with design rules to deliver layouts meeting high-quality standards.
- Deliver mid-size block layouts encompassing signal routing and floorplanning in core/pitch and periphery regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, technology development, CAD, and layout engineering to implement diverse layout strategies for array, digital, and analog circuits.
- Perform secondary layout assignments such as Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Layout Change Orders (LCO), and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tasks.
- Coordinate with technical disciplines to meet project deadlines with quality deliverables.
- Leverage automation tools and AI technologies to enhance layout processes and efficiency.
