Overview
The General Manager is entrusted with running a profitable restaurant while ensuring it consistently meets the high customer standards for quality, service, and cleanliness established by McDonald's. This pivotal leadership role demands goal setting, operational planning, and team coordination to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager leads and manages a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific areas within the restaurant. This includes guiding the Department Managers in establishing their respective goals, monitoring their progress, and offering coaching and strategic direction to optimize departmental performance, which ultimately enhances the restaurant's overall results.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, the General Manager may be tasked with recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure a capable leadership team for future success.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants are those with prior General Manager experience in high-volume restaurant environments, preferably from quick service restaurants, though backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also valuable. Eligibility requires a minimum age of 18 to hold a managerial position within the restaurant.
