Job Overview
This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and detailed analysis to support the Consumer Business Group (CBG) business units. The analyst provides actionable financial insights, recommendations, and commercial support to drive business decisions and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support CBG business units with comprehensive and timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts as well as annual budgets by reviewing underlying financial assumptions and identifying potential risks or issues.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets, delivering key insights to the business.
- Manage month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition aligned with accounting standards, including detailed financial performance analysis.
- Review and monitor CBG business unit costs in alignment with approved budgets and carry out profitability analysis by product or brand.
- Assist in evaluating business cases and provide financial recommendations to stakeholders.
- Create and utilize financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives before presentation to business leaders.
- Respond to finance-related inquiries from business units and advise on accounting implications of products in compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Execute additional ad hoc finance projects as assigned.
Business Partnering
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted financial advisor.
- Deliver financial analysis, advice, and support to facilitate strategic business decision-making.
- Provide commercial insights and support for new business initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Identify and highlight risks and opportunities, and develop robust improvement plans accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with at least five years of relevant experience; a minimum of two years in Financial Planning and Analysis is preferable.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills paired with effective teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of managing ambiguity independently and consistently meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Possesses resilience and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems including SAP, Workday, and proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI.
