Overview
The General Manager holds the primary responsibility for operating a profitable restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald’s rigorous standards for quality, customer service, and cleanliness. This role involves collaborating with leadership to establish restaurant objectives and devising strategies to reach those goals.
Key Duties
Working closely with Department Managers, the General Manager guides their goal-setting, monitors their progress, and offers coaching to enhance departmental performance, thereby improving overall restaurant success. They may also oversee recruitment and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a competent leadership team for future operations.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants possess prior experience as a General Manager managing high-volume locations, preferably with a background in quick-service dining, hospitality, or retail. Managers must be at least 18 years old to qualify for corporate restaurant roles.
