Company Overview
AMOA COPPER SA operates the Kamoa Copper Mine, a joint venture involving Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%), and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). The mine is located in the Central African Copperbelt near Kolwezi, DRC, approximately 270 kilometers west of Lubumbashi. This site consists of a large, near-surface, stratiform copper deposit and neighboring exploration areas.
Role Overview
The Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and accelerating the procurement process, ensuring all purchase orders from confirmation with suppliers through to goods receipt are delivered timely and accurately to end-users. This role supports the Procurement department in achieving efficient order processing completion.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree in Supply Chain Management or professional Supply Chain Certification such as CSCP, CPIM, or CFPIM is required.
- A minimum of five years of expediting experience within a mining environment is essential.
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory; knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin is considered a strong advantage.
Technical and Role-Specific Knowledge
- Familiarity with Supply Chain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Understanding of engineering, mining, or manufacturing materials.
- Experience with supplier networks.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as JDE and Hubble.
- Basic awareness of import/export regulations and Bureau Veritas inspections.

Key Responsibilities
- Track and follow up on confirmed purchase orders with suppliers.
- Coordinate with Inbound Logistics and Warehouse teams regarding deliveries to Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
- Maintain and update supplier performance records within the procurement supplier database.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across various teams and departments to improve collaboration and innovation.
- Exhibit self-management and demonstrate teamwork.
- Monitor expenses and costs to promote cost-effectiveness and minimize waste.
- Support the corporate Transformation initiatives.
- Integrate Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) considerations into all workflows.
- Comply with and contribute to enhancing reporting procedures within the area of responsibility.
