About the Role

A reputable, nationwide Irish construction company is looking for an experienced Planner to join their team in Dublin amid ongoing growth. This role offers a chance to manage the planning and scheduling of significant projects while collaborating closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update detailed construction schedules aligned with project requirements.
  • Prepare baseline programmes, monitor progress, and develop short-term look-ahead plans.
  • Track project milestones, identify delays or issues, and analyze critical paths with risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme objectives.
  • Generate regular programme reports and updates for stakeholders.
  • Assist with tender and pre-construction programming efforts.
  • Support contractual programme requirements and documentation maintenance.
  • Identify schedule risks and help devise mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in project and progress meetings, offering planning guidance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • At least five years of construction planning experience, preferably within the Irish construction sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing construction programmes.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject scheduling software.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing for large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proactive work ethic and team collaboration capability.
