Role Summary

The Mastercard Intelligence Center (MCIC) provides actionable intelligence that anticipates potential threats and guides risk-based choices safeguarding Mastercard’s personnel, networks, data, and business operations. The team monitors geopolitical developments, cyber threats, fraud trends, physical security risks, and emerging technologies to protect the Mastercard ecosystem and enhance enterprise resilience through continuous monitoring, advanced analysis, and strategic partnerships with industry, government, and law enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, process, analyze, publish, and distribute threat intelligence relevant to Mastercard.
• Utilize intelligence to inform risk-based decision-making across multiple organizational domains.
• Develop comprehensive risk assessments outlining the impact of threats on business processes.
• Provide intelligence briefings to senior executives and internal stakeholders.
• Lead collaboration with internal groups, especially Regional Security and Crisis Management, to integrate intelligence insights across the organization.
• Manage partnerships with external entities, including government bodies, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and industry partners for intelligence sharing.
• Contribute to the creation of threat scenarios supporting red teaming, exercises, and resilience assessment efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Strong analytical capabilities with experience synthesizing intelligence from varied sources such as open-source data, technical inputs, geopolitical developments, cyber and fraud intelligence, and physical security information.
• Solid understanding of intelligence methodologies, including structured analytic techniques, threat modeling, and risk assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of key threat areas like geopolitical affairs, physical security, and cyber threats, with the capacity to quickly grasp emerging trends and assess their business implications.
• Expertise in monitoring threat activities and converting complex data into clear and actionable intelligence products for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively brief senior leaders and cross-functional teams with confidence.
• Exhibits sound judgment, curiosity, and a proactive stance in identifying threats and driving risk-informed decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as intelligence studies, political science, cybersecurity, international affairs, or similar disciplines.
