Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Java Developer responsible for designing and maintaining high-quality backend services. This position involves working with reliable and efficient systems and collaborating closely with our broader engineering teams on both architectural design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and enhance backend services using Java and the Spring framework.
- Develop RESTful APIs interfacing with both internal and external systems.
- Optimize service performance and ensure scalability to meet demand.
- Perform code reviews and actively participate in architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising in production environments.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience developing production-grade Java applications.
- Proficient with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ is advantageous.
- Comfortable with cloud services including AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization technologies.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and system architecture.

Compensation
Competitive salary that reflects experience, qualifications, and locale. Estimated annual range: $95,000 to $160,000 USD equivalent, inclusive of benefits.
