Job description
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Group Sales Manager specializing in Softlines, Hardlines, or Front End-Receiving, the Task Team Outfitter carries out visual merchandising initiatives including the installation of planograms and promotional flyers across the sales floor, ensuring an attractive and accessible retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement visual merchandising strategies in designated areas, which encompass fixture replacement, signage refresh, end cap arrangements, floor rearrangements, dressing mannequins, and preparing merchandise for advertisement placement.
- Execute departmental resets as required to maintain merchandising standards.
- Assist with merchandise purging activities when requested.
- Perform inventory replenishment duties such as filling shelves, folding garments, repackaging products, sorting, facing merchandise, hanging items, and locating stock.
- Provide customer assistance on the sales floor during open hours, aiding in merchandise location and purchase decision-making.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in merchandising roles.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Consideration of equivalent education and experience combinations; preference for candidates with no less than six months merchandising experience.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring task accuracy.
- Effective use of sound judgment and logical reasoning.
- Relevant experience in related sectors or an affinity for outdoor lifestyle products.
- Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s product lines is advantageous.
