Job description

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Group Sales Manager specializing in Softlines, Hardlines, or Front End-Receiving, the Task Team Outfitter carries out visual merchandising initiatives including the installation of planograms and promotional flyers across the sales floor, ensuring an attractive and accessible retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement visual merchandising strategies in designated areas, which encompass fixture replacement, signage refresh, end cap arrangements, floor rearrangements, dressing mannequins, and preparing merchandise for advertisement placement.
  • Execute departmental resets as required to maintain merchandising standards.
  • Assist with merchandise purging activities when requested.
  • Perform inventory replenishment duties such as filling shelves, folding garments, repackaging products, sorting, facing merchandise, hanging items, and locating stock.
  • Provide customer assistance on the sales floor during open hours, aiding in merchandise location and purchase decision-making.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in merchandising roles.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Consideration of equivalent education and experience combinations; preference for candidates with no less than six months merchandising experience.
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring task accuracy.
  • Effective use of sound judgment and logical reasoning.
  • Relevant experience in related sectors or an affinity for outdoor lifestyle products.
  • Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s product lines is advantageous.
