Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Retail Manager - Operations, the Front End Retail Lead is tasked with managing daily operations within a retail store department to ensure smooth and efficient function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise department team members collaboratively with the manager.
• Assign tasks clearly to team members and monitor for proper completion.
• Support team development by delivering training on standard operating procedures and processes.
• Ensure adherence to all established procedures and processes; provide corrective guidance when deviations occur and report issues to management.
• Handle administrative duties related to the camping department.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding and assessing customer needs and recommending suitable products.
• Advocate company initiatives to both staff and customers.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising including signage, product presentation, restocking, and cleanliness of the sales floor.
• Resolve customer concerns using sound judgment and within the scope of authority.
• Provide assistance in other store areas as business demands.

Requirements

• Preferred two or more years of supervisory experience in retail sales or service.
• Availability to work across all shifts including store opening, closing, and weekends.
• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification preferred.
• Ability to assess customer needs and make tailored product recommendations.
• Commitment to delivering superior customer service and exceeding expectations.
• Strong problem-solving skills utilizing sound judgment.
• Experience in related fields or an outdoor lifestyle is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s products is considered a plus.
