Position Overview
This opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, separate from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds a license for McDonald's branding and products but independently manages all employment decisions including hiring, discipline, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA does not participate in employment processes for this role.
About the Role
The General Manager is charged with overseeing a profitable restaurant operation, ensuring it meets McDonald's established high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves goal setting in collaboration with the restaurant's leader, development and implementation of plans to meet those goals, and supervision of a team of Department Managers who maintain specific restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage restaurant profitability and uphold customer service and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and pursue restaurant performance goals.
- Lead, support, and coach Department Managers to achieve their departmental objectives.
- Recruit, hire, and develop managerial staff including Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced General Managers with a strong background running high-volume quick service restaurants preferred.
- Equivalent experience in hospitality or retail sectors is also relevant.
- Must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for managerial positions in corporate-owned restaurants.
