Job description
Position Overview
This full-time, permanent opportunity is located in Warrnambool and involves direct contribution to community safety by implementing practices aimed at reducing reoffending. The salary range for this role is $81,496 to $90,227 plus superannuation.
The Community Correctional Services (CCS) is dedicated to community safety by managing individuals under court orders, overseeing serious sex offenders subject to post-sentence supervision, and supervising parolees through various programs and services.
Key Duties
- Administer court orders for individuals assessed as low-risk of reoffending, including managing those on reparation orders.
- Ensure compliance by monitoring obligations linked to court orders and applying evidence-based practices.
- Refer individuals to appropriate programs and services while tracking adherence to order requirements.
- Respond to non-compliance appropriately and escalate issues to senior staff promptly.
- Create case notes, reports, and other documentation in accordance with procedural standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, participate in team planning, propose improvements to workflows, and support daily administrative functions in the local work area.
Candidate Profile
- Experience or awareness in core elements of case management such as assessment, planning, coordination of services, brokerage, and intervention delivery.
- Open and direct communicator who accepts and constructively handles feedback and criticism, listening attentively and fostering inclusion.
- Attuned to verbal and nonverbal cues encouraging an inclusive culture.
- Proactive in resolving problems independently or with consultation.
