Job description

Overview

The Assistant Quality Manager will supervise all quality control activities related to Dry Mortar and Cementitious Tiles production, from raw material selection to final product inspection at the manufacturing facility. The role demands a robust understanding of Indian and European quality standards to ensure compliance, alongside driving continuous improvements and working closely with multiple teams to uphold high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage raw material procurement, batching, and mixing processes to maintain quality control within the factory settings.
  • Ensure testing and quality compliance for raw materials, packaging, and finished products according to Indian and applicable European standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance procedures to maintain product consistency aligning with customer expectations.
  • Identify potential quality issues promptly and implement solutions to minimize product rejection rates.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve customer quality concerns and enhance overall product standards.
  • Deliver technical support to plant and installation teams, diagnosing and resolving quality-related problems.
  • Train plant personnel on quality protocols, industry benchmarks, and AAA (Appearance, Accuracy, and Assurance) guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation including testing data, calibration records, and batch history logs.
  • Devise and execute strategies that assure product reliability and foster ongoing quality improvements.
  • Conduct internal quality audits to verify conformity with organizational and industrial standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm raw material quality meets defined standards.
  • Apply root cause analysis tools such as Six Sigma and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to correct quality issues.
  • Refine manufacturing processes to lower defect rates, boost efficiency, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, environmental policies, and other legal requirements.
  • Participate in and support initiatives related to new product development.

Additional Information

The candidate should possess substantial experience spanning raw material quality assessment, in-process manufacturing quality control, and finished goods inspection. Responsibilities include conducting tests, evaluating parameters, compiling quality reports, performing audits, and managing documentation to ensure only products meeting strict criteria leave the facility.
