Role Overview
Located at the Acacia Ridge branch, this position plays a vital role in managing workshop and yard functions. The Yard Coordinator facilitates smooth equipment handling, maintenance activities, and yard organization which are integral to operational success amidst ongoing business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize forklifts, equipment, and assets within both yard and workshop areas under the guidance of the Workshop Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall tidiness in yard and workshop environments.
- Refuel forklifts promptly upon their return from hire assignments on site.
- Schedule and arrange timely deliveries.
- Load and unload containers as well as trucks efficiently.
- Welcome and assist customers arriving onsite.
- Pressure wash and perform detailing on forklifts in preparation for rental or sale.
- Document equipment conditions meticulously, record damages accurately, and manage equipment and accessory receipts at the site.
- Ensure all hired equipment complies with safety regulations prior to dispatch.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Previous experience in a workshop or industrial yard role is essential.
- Physical fitness with the ability to meet the lifting requirements associated with the job.
- Possession of a valid driver's license alongside a forklift operating ticket.
- A customer-oriented mindset coupled with proactive attitude.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-drive to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
- Intermediate competency in computer use and relevant systems.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
