About the Role

The recruitment campaign for this position will occur in India in late 2026. Only candidates selected from the application process will be invited for in-person interviews; walk-in interviews will not be accepted.

The Workshop Machining Supervisor will oversee all machining operations in the workshop to ensure readiness for operations, commissioning, and startup. This role focuses on meeting maintenance demands while maintaining workshop equipment and tools with the highest standards of safety, quality, integrity, and reliability. The supervisor will support the objectives of the Operations Expansion & Start-Up (OES) or Offshore Expansion, Sustainability & Start-Up (OESS) departments by achieving optimal operating reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee machining activities in the workshop, ensuring efficient resource usage while prioritizing safety and execution standards.
  • Ensure machining operations comply with international standards and codes relevant to the work.
  • Maintain adherence to company QA/QC policies and reliability benchmarks during all machining tasks.
  • Manage machining consumables effectively to guarantee 100% machinery availability.
  • Verify that all balancing work meets the highest standards.
  • Monitor machining progress to ensure alignment with the biweekly schedule.
  • Coordinate machining tasks during both routine operations and shutdown periods, upholding quality and safety.
  • Maintain and periodically test all shop machinery to ensure compliance with company inspection requirements and standards.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to proactively identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.
  • Utilize turning and machining materials thoughtfully to avoid waste, ensuring unused materials are properly returned to the warehouse with documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, operating in a similar capacity.

Technical and Business Competencies

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Ability to conduct effective Toolbox Talks and hazard identification sessions.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
