About the Role
Join Parsons Corporation in Doha as a Works Inspector specializing in electrical construction. This position entails supervising and assessing daily site activities to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project delivery aligned with design and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of electrical construction work to verify adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and local regulations.
- Track progress and produce reports highlighting potential delays or issues, proposing solutions to maintain schedule integrity.
- Evaluate materials and workmanship quality against required standards and specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of inspections including daily, safety, and quality assurance reports.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate tasks such as power systems installation, lighting, wiring, and control system setups.
- Oversee and enforce site safety procedures to mitigate risks associated with electrical work.
- Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure punctual delivery of materials and services.
- Support testing and commissioning activities, confirming electrical components meet functional and quality requirements prior to handover.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of electrical construction inspection experience, with minimum 5 years inspecting large infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, water supply, and sewer systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Proactive in problem-solving and adaptable to evolving project conditions.
- Exceptional attention to detail in verifying construction compliance and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple inspections simultaneously under pressure.
- Familiarity with international and regional construction standards, especially GCC or Middle Eastern codes.
- Experience with AutoCAD and electrical engineering design software.
