Job description

About Delaplex

Delaplex was established in 2008 with a vision to deliver exceptional technology consulting and supply chain solutions. We thrive on innovation and dedication, forging trust and meaningful impact with our products and services. Our core values drive us to exceed client expectations consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, document, and update BPMN 2.0 process flows and DMN decision tables that accurately represent warehouse, distribution center, supply chain, and logistics operations.
  • Interpret and translate operational and business needs from warehouse and DC stakeholders into executable process orchestration and decision automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure process models and decision tables function correctly within workflow engines and resolve any modeling challenges encountered during implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a library of reusable process templates, decision standards, and modeling guidelines to guarantee consistency across the platform.
  • Work with project teams to ensure the proper adoption of standard workflows and supervise project-specific workflow modifications when required.
  • Detect and document areas for task automation, orchestration approaches, and decision points within existing and future workflow designs.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for the workflow and automation platform, balancing feature development with platform reliability and technical debt reduction.
  • Use Jira Product Discovery to organize and link epics and user stories, regularly updating it to monitor progress.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and prioritized backlog, ensuring stories are development-ready.
  • When crafting stories and epics, include comprehensive non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, availability, and edge case considerations as clear acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee the quality and uniformity of team-generated technical documentation, including BPMN/DMN standards, story formats, and Definition of Ready/Done standards.
  • Lead and actively engage in Agile rituals including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct pre-grooming of backlog items before grooming sessions and confirm all sprint tickets satisfy the team's readiness standards ahead of sprint planning.
  • Hold the final authority on release readiness decisions, verifying all sprint stories meet completion criteria, process models are validated, and regression risks are assessed; coordinate with QA and DevOps for release procedures.
  • Consistently seek improvements in workflow processes between developers and stakeholders.
  • Identify and track dependencies especially involving internal teams and third-party vendors, logging them in Jira with assigned owners, risk assessments, and resolution dates; escalate unresolved issues to avoid sprint disruptions.
  • Liaise closely with warehouse and DC operations stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operational realities.
  • Create tickets and communicate requirements both for your own team and for dependent teams.
  • Organize and lead monthly demonstrations for customers.
  • Steer scope discussions during Program Increment (PI) planning, aligning team capacity with PI objectives; ensure each story traces to a PI goal and maintain a risk log.
  • Break down PI objectives into manageable milestones and sprint goals to maintain alignment.
  • Uphold Jira data integrity throughout the PI, making sure all epics, stories, defects, and issues are tracked adequately.
  • Coordinate with the Scrum Master for proper upload and closure of Jira items at PI boundaries.
  • Manage initiative statuses in Jira Product Discovery accurately, documenting any status changes.
  • Support BPM engine migration activities or vendor assessments by contributing domain and product knowledge.

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner focused on BPM/workflow engine platforms involving process modeling and task/decision automation.
  • Practical experience designing BPMN 2.0 processes and maintaining DMN decision tables.
  • Background in warehouse or distribution center operations, supply chain, or logistics software domains.
  • Demonstrated capability to convert business and operational needs into actionable process and decision models.
  • Experience managing a product backlog specific to a workflow or automation platform, including prioritization, grooming, and engaging stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Six or more years in similar roles related to BPM/workflow platform management.
  • Familiarity with Camunda versions 7 or 8, including modeling, engine operation, DMN tables, and migration insight.
