Role Overview
We are seeking Workday Extend Developers to join our product team, dedicated to creating and enhancing new SaaS products on the Workday platform. These products help Workday customers maximize their investment and include tools such as Workday testing, compliance, data masking, employee document management, and pay transparency analyzers.
The chosen candidate will work on building new products within a team by contributing to the technical design, solution implementation, and iterating based on user input. This opportunity arises from new strategic partnerships involving the Workday Marketplace, AI Gateway, AWS integration, and the 'Built on Workday' initiative, positioning Kainos as a leading partner in the Workday Marketplace ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using Workday Extend and related cloud/A.I. technologies such as AWS.
- Participate in agile development environments to deliver high-quality product components.
- Collaborate closely within a small team to innovate and progress product roadmaps focused on customer needs.
- Create proof-of-concept solutions then gather and incorporate feedback to refine offerings.
- Uphold and embody Kainos’ values by mentoring junior team members and fostering a community of practice.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Hands-on development experience with Workday Extend applications.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and coding practices.
- Experience working with web service protocols such as REST and SOAP.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with customers and team members, including remote collaboration.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
- Good workload management and deadline adherence.
- Commitment to maintaining high quality, accuracy, and confidentiality in all work.
Desirable Certifications
- Professional certification in Workday Extend development from recognized bodies.
- HCM certification related to Workday.
