Role Overview
TWG Australia, part of one of the largest global wine businesses, supports recognized brands such as Cupcake, Chloe, Fisheye, Foxhorn, and Franzia. Based in Loxton, South Australia within the Riverland region, this position offers a collaborative and hands-on environment prioritizing safety, quality, and ongoing improvements.
Reporting to the Senior Winemaker, the successful candidate will assist in planning, scheduling, and executing daily winemaking processes for wine and juice production. Collaboration with winemaking, cellar, and production departments is crucial to ensure smooth, safe, and quality-focused operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily winemaking tasks in consultation with the winemaking team.
- Prioritize and schedule workloads to meet daily production targets timely.
- Engage actively in vintage activities including grape reception, processing, and finalizing products.
- Prepare and monitor wine and juice, maintaining required quality and storage standards.
- Assist in planning and tracking oak usage.
- Manage blending procedures and ensure readiness for final dispatch.
- Participate in projects, trials, research, and development within the winery.
- Communicate priorities clearly with cellar and production teams to support workflow.
- Provide customer contract support and foster strong internal and external relationships.

- Demonstrates proactive and organized approach to scheduling and delivering tasks.
- Efficient in handling multiple priorities with clear communication and adherence to deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Highly reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Resourceful with a practical problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent team player with effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Wine Science or a similar field is mandatory.
- Proficient in computer software relevant to the role.
- Right to work in Australia required for employment consideration.
Work Conditions
Availability for extended, rotating shifts and weekend work during the Vintage season is essential.
