Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview

M/s Hindustan Glass Agencies in Ranchi, Jharkhand requires a Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily store and warehouse operations. This role involves handling inventory, supervising staff, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring smooth business functions in a retail or wholesale environment focused on items such as glassware and kitchenware.

Key Duties

• Oversee and coordinate all daily activities within the store/warehouse ensuring efficient operations.
• Lead and mentor store personnel, assigning daily tasks and training staff to maintain productivity.
• Maintain precise stock and inventory records; perform routine physical counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage the intake, inspection, labeling, storage, and dispatch of goods systematically.
• Keep the premises orderly with proper product arrangement, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, accounting, and management departments to support workflow and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and deliver reports on inventory and store activities on a daily and weekly basis.
• Minimize losses by controlling damage, theft, and waste.
• Address operational challenges related to both customers and staff, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets by maintaining proper stock availability.

Skills and Qualifications

• Preferred candidates hold a graduate degree.
• Between 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in store, warehouse, retail, or wholesale management.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and related computer applications like MS Excel.
• Capability to prepare accurate records and handle inventory software.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attributes such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail are essential.

Preferred Background

Candidates with prior experience in handling utensils, crockery, glassware, kitchenware, appliances, or gift items in retail or wholesale sectors will be favored.
