Overview

Join Metroll Butler, a respected Australian manufacturer renowned for metal building products such as roofing, cladding, rainwater systems, structural elements, and fencing solutions. With over three decades serving Western Australia and a national presence through more than 25 branches, Metroll offers a dynamic environment for a Warehouse Storeman in Butler.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role demands supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring the seamless picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Collaboration with sales and warehouse teams is key to maintaining an efficient and customer-centric warehouse space.

Key Duties

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with everyday warehouse functions
  • Coordinate the efficient picking, packing, and dispatching of goods
  • Operate forklift machinery safely to load, unload, and transport orders and materials within warehouse and yard areas
  • Use overhead crane to maneuver steel and other construction materials safely
  • Prepare customer orders precisely for collection or delivery
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers picking up orders
  • Collaborate closely with sales and warehouse teams to manage customer order fulfilment
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and assist with procurement to ensure adequate inventory
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive warehouse environment
  • Operate additional plant equipment such as roll formers, drop saws, and re-bar tenders safely

Candidate Profile

  • Dependable, punctual with a proactive can-do attitude
  • Strong organizational abilities managing multiple priorities efficiently
  • Capable of working effectively both autonomously and within a team
  • Clear communicator with solid computer skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Customer-focused mindset oriented towards solutions
  • Previous experience in warehouse, dispatch, or logistics is highly valued
  • Must possess and be able to operate forklifts safely with a valid license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating overhead cranes
  • Background in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse roles
  • Experience in building, construction, or manufacturing sectors
  • Familiarity with building products and materials
  • Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management software
