About The Company
Team Global Express New Zealand specializes in freight forwarding, comprehensive logistics, and end-to-end transport services across New Zealand, serving locations from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Role Overview
As a Warehouse Operator at our Otahuhu branch, you will play a critical role in handling freight efficiently, safely, and punctually to meet delivery targets without damage. This position requires a motivated and reliable team player with a positive mindset and customer-focused approach. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight ensuring secure handling.
- Meet operational goals by efficiently scanning freight using On-time.
- Verify all freight documentation is complete and accurate.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and competently, prioritizing health and safety.
- Maintain clear and effective communication within the team environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in freight or logistics roles.
- Familiarity with pick packing in warehouse environments and ideally forklift operation experience.
- Proficient with barcode/RF scanners within Warehouse Management Systems.
- Committed to health and safety standards with the ability to contribute continuous improvement ideas regarding goods movement.
- Strong work ethic, a proactive, can-do attitude, and the willingness to go above and beyond.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Physically capable of handling heavy lifting up to 20 kg.
