About the Role
Join the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel in Little Island, Cork, as a Warehouse Operative. This position is integral to managing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods, ensuring that customer orders are processed with precision and efficiency. Your contribution will help streamline global trade logistics beyond just warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for dispatch, upholding strict quality standards.
- Receive, inspect, load, and unload goods while ensuring correct stock control and inventory management.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (Ciel FW) to manage warehouse transactions with high accuracy.
- Complete all relevant warehouse documentation and reports timely and correctly.
- Respond professionally and swiftly to customer and internal inquiries via phone and email.
- Adhere strictly to Good Distribution Practice, GxP, HPRA, IATA, Irish Aviation Authority, and QSHE compliance requirements.
- Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized, adapting to evolving business priorities.
- Foster positive collaboration with colleagues and internal stakeholders to enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution settings is required.
- Picking and packing experience is advantageous.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare logistics sectors is a plus.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with warehouse management systems are essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive with adaptability to business needs.
- Possession of an MHE (Material Handling Equipment) licence is preferred, alongside a firm commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
