About This Role

  • Permanent full-time position
  • Classification PTA 4 with an annual salary of $94,065 plus 12% superannuation

Role Overview

The Volunteer Program Coordinator joins the Volunteer Experience team, responsible for developing and delivering initiatives that enhance the volunteer work environment, promote retention, and acknowledge the vital contributions of volunteers to CFA and their communities.

This role involves collaborating across CFA to craft innovative programs, frameworks and activities that nurture volunteer capabilities, improve brigade sustainability, and build a cohesive volunteer network. This position offers a meaningful chance to influence programs that help sustain volunteer engagement over the long term.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an organised, proactive individual passionate about transforming ideas into actionable projects and effectively collaborating with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

  • Proven experience in coordinating and implementing projects, programs or initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal abilities, including influencing, negotiation and relationship-building
  • Analytical mindset focused on problem-solving and enhancing business processes
  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in human resources, social sciences, humanities, business or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in volunteer environments is highly valued

Additional Information

CFA requires applicants to successfully complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, Working Rights Check, and hold a valid Working with Children Check before employment. Candidates will also need to provide at least two professional references.
