Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Visiting Registered General Practitioner (VR GP) at Pan Medical Centre. The practitioner will be responsible for delivering primary care consultations, including diagnosing, managing, and following up on acute and chronic conditions across all age groups. Duties comprise thorough clinical evaluations, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating with allied health professionals and specialists as necessary.
Preventive care responsibilities include performing health checks, administering vaccinations, and developing chronic disease management plans. Accurate clinical record keeping and adherence to practice and clinical policies are essential. The VR GP will actively engage in practice meetings, contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts, and promote a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork.
Key Qualifications
- Current specialist registration as a General Practitioner (VR) with AHPRA and eligibility to obtain a Medicare provider number.
- Proven clinical expertise in primary care, encompassing patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment strategies, and chronic disease management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for diverse patient demographics and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Dedication to evidence-based medical practice, continuous professional learning, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Strong time management and ability to operate independently within a busy clinical environment while contributing positively to the team dynamic.
- Experience in using clinical software and electronic medical records; knowledge of Australian healthcare and Medicare frameworks is advantageous.
- Special interest in preventive medicine, mental health, women's and men's health, or paediatric care is desirable.
