Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and imaginative Video Editor to join our team on a full-time or freelance basis. This role is specifically for candidates located in Chennai, Kolathur. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling video content tailored for platforms like YouTube, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, transforming raw footage into polished videos that resonate with audiences and adhere to brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit both long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips including Reels and Shorts.
- Incorporate transitions, motion graphics, captions, sound effects, and suitable background music.
- Perform color correction and improve overall video quality.
- Design attention-grabbing thumbnails (preferred).
- Optimize videos for various social media platforms to ensure the best viewer experience.
- Adhere to project deadlines while maintaining consistent video quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with content creators and marketing teams to realize creative concepts.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalents.
- Solid understanding of current trends on YouTube and Instagram platforms.
- Skills in video pacing, narrative construction, and effective composition.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is advantageous.
- Portfolio demonstrating expertise with YouTube videos and short-form Reels is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in creating thumbnails using Photoshop or Canva.
- Familiarity with AI-powered video editing tools.
- Knowledge of YouTube SEO and strategies for increasing audience engagement.
Compensation and Work Environment
- Salary ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 per month, dependent on experience and skill level.
- Flexible working conditions available, particularly for freelance or remote engagements.
