Overview

VS Studio is a photography and videography firm specializing primarily in wedding and event media production, seeking a Video Editor based in the Greater Kolkata area.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and organize raw video materials, carefully choosing the best shots by evaluating framing, clarity, and storyline flow.
• Edit videos using professional software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro), including cutting clips, adding transitions, overlays, and effects to create smooth scene transitions.
• Perform color correction and grading to enhance the aesthetic quality and maintain visual consistency throughout the project.
• Mix and edit audio elements—including dialogue, music, and sound effects—to ensure clear sound quality and synchronization with visuals.
• Design and incorporate graphics, titles, and text overlays, adhering to brand style guides to add context and visual appeal.
• Maintain an organized digital asset management system, properly labeling and storing video files for easy retrieval.
• Work collaboratively with videographers, photographers, and other team members, actively applying feedback to refine outputs.
• Conduct detailed quality checks of finished videos to verify they meet quality benchmarks and client expectations for storytelling and accuracy.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a comparable discipline is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Deep understanding of editing concepts including timing, rhythm, and narrative flow.
• Exceptional eye for detail and visual storytelling capability.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, including openness to constructive critique.
