About the Role

Magnetic Nation is seeking a dedicated Video Editor based in Pune who approaches editing with a conceptual and storytelling mindset. Rather than just trimming footage, adding subtitles, and exporting, you will enhance video clarity, sharpness, and engagement while maintaining the core message and emotional impact.

Key Responsibilities

You will work primarily on two video types:

• Marketing & Organic Content: This includes short-form videos, reels, YouTube videos, video advertisements, webinars, launch videos, founder-led content, and promotional materials aimed at capturing attention and spreading Magnetic Nation's influence on social media. The emphasis is on editing techniques—pacing, visuals, sound, and motion graphics—that amplify ideas rather than create unnecessary flashiness.
• Courses & Learning Experiences: For educational content such as courses, challenges, and workshops, your focus shifts to maximizing understanding. You will employ editing, graphics, diagrams, animations, visual metaphors, text, and motion design to simplify complex ideas and make learning both easy and enjoyable.

Required Expertise

• Storytelling Acumen: Ability to identify a video's core message, build appropriate tension, determine what to omit, keep viewer engagement, emphasize crucial elements, and enhance the speaker’s ideas through editing.
• Motion Graphics Skills: Proficient use of motion graphics not just for decorative purposes but to clarify concepts, elicit emotions, maintain attention, and support storytelling by visually conveying abstract ideas.
• Editing Tools Proficiency: Skilled in industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalent programs, including newer AI-based or animation software that boosts quality and workflow efficiency.

Workplace and Location

This position requires physical presence at Magnetic Nation’s Pune office. Candidates must currently reside in Pune or be willing to relocate to work closely with the team and deeply understand the company’s creative ethos.
