About the Role
St Michael’s Grammar School invites applications for a permanent VCE Physics and General Science Teacher position within our Science Faculty, starting at the beginning of 2027. This full-time role offers a workload of one full-time equivalent (1.0 load) encompassing four senior school science classes, including VCE Physics, as well as broader General Science lessons for Years 7 to 10. An additional responsibility includes undertaking a House Tutor position contributing to our pastoral care framework.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and varied lessons tailored for VCE Physics and General Science students across Years 7-10.
- Maintain qualified Senior School Teacher status along with current registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Establish positive relationships and rapport with students, colleagues, and adults, demonstrating excellent interpersonal capabilities.
- Fulfill a House Tutor role supporting students within the pastoral care system.
- Possess and maintain essential health qualifications including Anaphylaxis, Asthma Management, and Level II First Aid certification.
